Fergus House
Exuding the elegance and elan of an exclusive hotel, this master ensuite has become a piece of art in itself and a tranquil sanctuary for the owners. Creating this master ensuite renovation was challenging given the steep location and partially raked ceiling. Our design brief was for a spacious, functional, luxurious, design with all the amenities and tailored to specific requirements.
A bold collaboration sees a bespoke oak timber vanity flanked by striking, green textured tiles, carefully selected to contrast with large, soft grey porcelain tiles.
The exquisite tiles make the perfect backdrop to the beautiful freestanding bath, brushed brass floor mounted bath spout/hand shower and the double wall-mounted floating bespoke timber vanity.
Powerpoints tucked away in drawers keep tops clean and uncluttered with additional storage in the upper recessed mirror and tall hidden linen cupboard.
Well executed lighting brings a refined elegance to this stunning interior – beautiful glass pendants float above the freestanding oval white bath, softening the space. A splash of textured green in the shampoo alcove and recessed lighting (appearing to wash down the tiles) adds drama to the shower.
Close collaboration with the builder, tiler and trades were imperative throughout the project, to ensure the shower fittings and wall-mounted taps were selected and factored into the design early in the process. Our aim was to use a delicate touch with carefully chosen materials and finishes to best capture the beauty of this space – achieved through a textured palette, soft, subtle lighting, colour and attention to detail.
