This stunning architecturally designed modern family home, shows a powerful and clever interplay of spaces and forms conveying a modern influence with a twist. It is nestled into the hillside while enjoying expansive views of the surrounding ocean.
Our brief was to create a warm and welcoming home that captured the freshness of a bach-like interior, with a Scandinavian influence. This was carried throughout the rest of the house, in its full interior makeover.
Careful utilisation of the spatial kitchen interior, angles and proportions between walls and joinery all help to define the clean lines and attention to detail. We were bought in fairly late in the project in its actual framework. We had to be very clever with the kitchen space as it was a small and a very compact area.
Our brief was to create an impressive/dynamic kitchen within a small space and to incorporate a scullery. It was essential to keep in proportion with the rest of the interior spaces.
The internal kitchen is contrasted with a softening white and a natural oak timber that we specially formulated with our stain specialists, to create an enriched sense of of freshness and lightness. Our aim was to create a highly functional and practical kitchen within a small space, whilst capturing the serene views.
